duckThere are a couple days during the year when the men of the world would be well-advised to make sure some special event is planned.  One does not miss Valentine’s Day if one has a special someone in their life.  The other day you better not forget is Mother’s Day and that celebration is coming soon.

May 13th is the yearly celebration of the mothers of the world.  Traditionally it is marked as the 2nd Sunday in May each year.  Did you know that it was first mentioned in 1870 by Julia Ward Howe in her Mother’s Day Proclamation?  However, it really started to catch on as a national day of remembrance in 1908 when a woman named Anna Jarvis from West Virginia started a movement to have a national day to celebrate all mothers.  The grass roots movement finally got its wish and in 1914 President Woodrow Wilson declared it a national day for all mothers in the United States.

Since then it has grown to be the second biggest day of the year for the sales of flowers and you men out there would be well-advised to be ordering those flowers now.  One other suggestion: why don’t you bring your mother (or girlfriend or wife) to Chef Point Café and enjoy a wonderful Mother’s Day dinner.  We have a great menu just waiting for you, one guaranteed to put a smile on the face of that special mother in your life.

What’s on the menu?  Instead of us telling you the whole menu let us just put together a sample meal for you and then you can check out the rest of the menu at your leisure.  Let’s say you start your meal with a nice appetizer….oh, say some Escargot.  Then you have a nice Garden Salad to celebrate springtime, followed by a nice Lobster Bisque and then move on to the entrée.  We have nine special entrée selections ready for Mother’s Day but for this article let’s suppose you order the Stuffed Swordfish, and then for dessert you have a great piece of Chocolate Mousse!

We even have a kid’s menu for Mother’s Day that includes Macaroni & Cheese, Chicken Tenders and Sliders.

In other words, we have it all covered. You can bring the whole family to your favorite Fort Worth restaurant and score some serious brownie points with the mother in your life.

Mark it down now….May 13th…..Chef Point Café….the perfect way to spend Mother’s Day!
