Jul. 20--WATAUGA, Texas--Inside a Conoco gas station, around the corner from the jugs of Pennzoil and the 99-cent cans of Miller Genuine Draft, Franson Nwaeze is smothering crab cakes with a roasted bell pepper sauce.

His restaurant, Chef Point Cafe, might be the only spot on Earth where customers can get portobello mushroom soup, fill the tank with unleaded gasoline and buy a Lotto ticket.

But this curious place is hardly surprising, considering that its own
