Cheese GritsGrits is a common food in the south. They got their orgin from Northern America. Grits is mostly course ground corn.

Grits is similar to other thick corn based porridges such as polenta, farina and grit gruels. They can be served hot or cold and plain or with other additives. A popular additive is shrimp and cheese. Some Yankees will put sugar in their grits.

I love shrimp, but never thought I’d eat it for breakfast. Combining it with cheese grits is a great idea, and mixing them makes it comfort food. It’s a dish that can’t help but make you say YUM!
