There is no for sure answer as to how chicken and waffles was invented or came about, but as told on FoodTV, musicians in Harlem would finish with their gigs around three in the morning and couldn’t decide if they should have dinner or breakfast. One local restaurant owner decided to start serving chicken and waffles to satisfy both cravings.
