A Landmark among Fort Worth Restaurants
Fort Worth Restaurants - Fine Dining
Chef Point Café, home of the world-famous "Better than Sex Chicken," is a landmark among Fort Worth restaurants.
If you look in the dictionary under best restaurants Fort Worth, you'll see a picture of Franson Nwaeze and his wife, Paula, who opened Chef Point Café nine years ago in, of all places a Conoco Station/convenience store in the Fort Worth suburb of Watauga. It's Fort Worth fine dining in a gas station and Franson – recently voted one of Fort Worth's top 10 chefs – cooks up the meanest chicken in town.
But fried chicken is just the tip of the iceberg (lettuce). Chef Point also serves a wide variety of healthy gourmet meals, including succulent Fort Worth steak and Chef Franson's newest specialty: the Royal Burger.
These delicious, healthy hamburgers are royal because they're made of Wagyu beef. The Japanese cattle the meat comes from are treated like royalty. The cows drink beer and get regular hand massages – we're not talking about cows drinking in bars and visiting masseurs – we're talking about farming. You can't get this gourmet beef at just any burger restaurant. Thus, when you chow down on the one-pound King Burger or ¾-pound Prince Burger, you feel like royalty.
The Wagyu King Burger all-natural organic beef with mustard, mayo, lettuce tomato and onions served with sweet potato fries. Wagyu beef, named for the region of Japan in which the cattle are bred, is considered the most succulent, tender and tastiest meat in the world. Renowned for its flavor, the meat is commonly considered a delicacy due to its tenderness and well-marbled texture. Order the Wagyu King at Chef Point Café when you want to experience the ultimate hamburger. It's the best burger in Fort Worth!
The Fort Worth grill has Paula Deen, the Food Network's Guy Fieri, and NPR's Kitchen Sisters all raving. The husband-and-wife team started making plans to open a restaurant in 2001, but most banks were cautious about lending them start-up funds due to their lack of experience and collateral. The Nwaezes discovered they would much more likely get financing if they opened a gasoline station. They jumped at the opportunity when they found a filling station under construction that was for sale.
