Fort Worth Restaurants - Fine Dining

We often hear people say that they are confused by the sheer number of wines available on the market; how are they to know which wines pair well with which foods?  And we understand that concern; there are literally thousands of wines available to the average buyer and who wants to buy a bottle of wine and find out it doesn’t match up with what you are having for dinner?

We at Chef Point Café get it; we really do get it.  So we thought we would highlight the red wines today that you will find at our fine dining restaurant in a gas station and give you some idea which foods would be good companions to those wines.  Before we do that, however, let us give you a brief word of advice: the perfect wine for your meal is the wine you prefer.  There is no need to complicate matters simply because experts say one thing but your palate says another.  Having said that, read on and maybe the following will be of assistance next time you come to our family restaurant.

The Blackstone Merlot is wonderfully fruity with a hint of strawberry, blackberry, cherry and vanilla and a powerful yet smooth finish.  This taste and smell treat goes beautifully with any of our beef or salmon dishes.

Parducci makes a wonderful Pinot Noir from their California winery.  This beauty has cherry and red berry aromas with a hint of tea-leaf spice and a rich berry and cherry flavor.  Not harsh like so many Pinot Noirs, Parducci Pinot Noir serves well with our ham and turkey dishes.

Would you like something to go with your burger or lasagna?  How about a nice wine to go with steak or sausage?  Diseno Malbec is your wine with strong fruit scents and flavors and tastes of bitter chocolate, licorice and lavender in a no-nonsense wine that is both delicious and in-your-face hearty.  From Argentina this Pinot Noir is a memory waiting to happen.

Finally we have the Estancia Cabernet Sauvignon.  This is a beautifully colored wine of deep garnet and crimson hues.  The smokey aroma of plum, cedar, sage and chocolate matches perfectly with burgers, beef or a hearty lasagna.  Cabernets like this one are not for the meek; strap on your boots and prepare for a solid taste treat.

Make sure when you visit us at our Fort Worth restaurant that you give us your opinion of our wines.  We are, after all, here to serve and prepare the finest gourmet meals that we can and your input is always appreciated.
