Fort Worth Restaurants - Fine Dining

A quick reminder before we get into the meat (get it?) of this article: if you ordered a holiday meal from Chef Point Café please make sure you pick it up by 6:00 p.m. on December 24th.  We can’t think of anything worse than to order one of these delicious meals prepared by “The Peoples’ Chef” and then forget to pick it up in time.

Now on to the meat of this article.  First let’s talk about New Year’s Day because on that day we are having a traditional Southern good luck meal of ham, black-eyed peas and cornbread.  When you walk in you will see it on our Specials Board.  In addition we will be serving the regular Comfort Food menu items.

That pales in comparison, however, to our special New Year’s Eve menu and trust us when we tell you this will knock your socks off.  This is better than the Geminid Meteor Shower that just happened last week.  Are you ready?  For New Year’s Eve Chef Franson will be preparing the following:

Appetizers

What Nots…..mushrooms hand-stuffed with three cheeses and baked in Chef’s own savory garlic butter

Escargot……imported and hand-stuffed in large mushroom caps smothered in our own sherry wine sauce

Fried Green Tomatoes….served with fresh sliced mozzarella, pesto sauce, roasted peppers, micro greens and drizzled with Texas Honey.

Salads

Garden Salad….fresh organic leaves, toasted walnuts, sliced tomato and onions, topped with house Raspberry Vinaigrette

Romaine Hearts….with blue cheese crumbles, walnuts, and your choice of dressing.

Entrees

Chicken Marsala….sauteed chicken breast in a marsala wine sauce, topped with mushrooms and diced tomatoes over a hot bed of angel hair pasta.

Grilled Australian Lamb Lollipops….smothered in brown mint sauce and served with sweet potato polenta

Blackened Orange Roughy….topped with lemon butter caper sauce, served with homemade mashed potatoes and julienne style fresh vegetables

Slow Smoked Cooked Prime Rib….served with homemade mashed potatoes, fresh asparagus, auju sauce and horseradish sauce

Steak and Lobster Tail….8 oz beef tenderloin and 6 oz lobster tail served with mashed potatoes, fresh asparagus and side of drum butter

Roasted Duck….Half Duck slowly roasted and cooked to perfection, served over angel hair pasta, topped with Chef’s special orange sauce

Veal Osso Buco….veal braised to perfect tenderness cooked in brown sauce served with sweet potato polenta

Blackened Pepper Steak….rubbed with cracked black pepper, grilled to perfection, topped with sweet bell peppers and onions served with fresh mixed vegetables and potatoes

Stuffed Flounder or Shrimp….stuffed with crab meat served over basil fettuccini topped with asiago sauce

Desserts

Bread Pudding….made fresh daily and smothered in our own hot cognac sauce

Chocolate Mousse….served in a wine glass, topped with homemade whip cream, and fresh sliced strawberries.

Is your mouth watering yet?  This is an extraordinary menu that we are proud to serve and we hope you will join us at our fine dining establishment in a gas station for a New Year’s Celebration to remember.  Menu items will be served from 6-midnight and don’t forget that we now have a full bar to help bring in the New Year.  We will also have party hats, favors and some extra surprises awaiting you and of course champagne will be served at midnight to ring in the New Year in style.

Boy, that’s about it but that’s a ton to process.  From the staff and ownership of your favorite family restaurant, we hope you have a very Happy and Safe Holiday Season.  Come join us at Chef Point Cafe for New Year’s Eve and/or New Year’s Day, see the new renovations, and help us kick start 2012 in style.
