Chef Point Café Celebrates Expansion With Contest
Everybody loves a contest and Chef Point Café has a customer-participation contest to celebrate their recent expansion groundbreaking.
On March 8, 2011 Chef Point Café held a groundbreaking ceremony to celebrate their restaurant expansion. When completed this expansion will double the available seating at this popular Ft. Worth eatery and add a full-service bar. It should be mentioned that during this expansion period the restaurant will remain open. At the time of the groundbreaking celebrity judges selected new signature dishes, named them, and now beginning in May one of these new dishes will be featured each month and fans will vote on their favorite.
The celebrity judges and their selections were:
- May will feature Cowboy Comfort(Veal Osso Buco), selected by Michael Downs, former Dallas Cowboy
- June will feature Heavenly Duck(Half Duck over angel hair pasta), selected by Dr. Bobby Herrell, Pastor
- July will be JD Licious Mousse(Chocolate Mousse), chosen by J.D. Ryan, radio and t.v. personality
- August will be Duck Lamond(Half Duck over angel hair pasta), chosen by Andre Johnson, author.
At the end of August the selection receiving the most fan votes will become the new signature dish for the Re-Grand Opening. To vote for your favorite go to http://www.chefpointcafe.org/Signature-Dish-Contest and cast your vote.
Chef Franson and his wife Paula Nwaeze have been delighting customers for so many years that this quirky family restaurant has become an icon in the Ft. Worth area. Now residents of the area have four new dishes to try and that is certainly good news for anyone who has ever eaten at this unique dining establishment.
The dish for each month will be on the specials board as you walk into Chef Point Café, so drop on by, taste the contest selections, and then vote for your favorite. Now that’s a contest everybody can love!
