Wine & Dine With Special Guest February 13th
Valentine’s Day is February 13th, right? Okay, we know it’s the next day but it should be the 13th because at Chef Point Café we are holding our monthly Wine & Dine that night and what a great way to celebrate Valentine’s Day with your special someone without standing in long lines.
This will be a very special Wine & Dine because we have a representative from Lange Twins Winery joining us that night to talk about their special wines as they are served during our five course meal. For the un-initiated, Lange Twins Winery is located in Lodi, California; the winery has been open since 2006 but the Lange family has been in the wine business for five generation now. Theirs is a special winery in that they practice “sustainable wine growing.” What is that you ask? Well, to begin with, Lange Twins Winery grows all of their own grapes for their wines, ensuring the best of quality will be produced. Sustainability is of course part of the Green Revolution and it consists of restoration of the land, using renewable energy to operate the winery, using post-consumer recycled paper, practicing habitat conservation, proper water management and crop protection. They are at the forefront of the “new winery” movement, producing a great product but making sure that a minimal footprint is left on this planet. We are proud to serve their wines and it is a perfect combination: excellent wines at the best gourmet restaurant in Fort Worth.
The event begins at 6:30 and lasts until 8:30 and reservations are required; the cost is $75 per person plus tax and gratuity so make your reservations today. For that reasonable cost you will experience a taste treat sent directly from heaven:
- Appetizers served with Lange Twins Chardonnay: Sauteed Mussels prepared in a creamy saffron sauce or Duck Breast tossed in a sweet plum sauce, served over a bed of fresh spinach.
- Salad served with Lange Twins Sauvignon Blanc: Waldorf Salad topped with honey glazed pears and pickled walnuts.
- Soup served with Lange Twins Pinot Noir: Creamy clam and white bean chowder soup.
- Main course served with Lange Twins Estate Zinfandel: Smoked salmon on top of a red wine reduction and served with julienne fresh vegetables OR Roasted pork rack with chestnut mash and creamy savory cabbage OR Smoked prime rib served with pepper corn sauce and sweet potatoes gratin with chili spiced pecans.
